The Central library has been built to International Standards, Spreads over to 4 blocks with an area of 5000 sq.m. It is centrally air-conditioned, well-protected with fire alarm, 26 CCTV and RFID system Specialized collections of Books, Journals & Non-book materials are available in Basic Sciences, Engineering and Technology Humanities and Social Sciences. and Management

The subscribed e-resources are ASCE Journals, ASME Journals, IEEE, J-Gate Engineering and J-Gate Management and Scopus (e-bibliographic database with 15,100+ peer reviewed journals indexing and abstracts). The Library has a Video Conferencing facility and NPTEL video courses. Apart from central library each school having a separate library with good collection

The main objective is to make the Library the most effective Learning Resource centre to contribute to the quality of higher education. The library also created learning environment by establishing Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) Searching Area, Internet browsing area for accessing e-resources, Laptop zone with Wi-Fi facility

Many knowledge-based services like that of Reference, Bibliography, , DELNET, Reprography, CD-ROM Databases, Internet browsing and e services are provided by the library for its users. All the library functions have all been well automated and entry into the library and book transaction is made possible with RFID Technology using smart card. Presently the entire computerization activity of the library has been revamped with specialized software, a comprehensive package with built in library modules suitable for the entire gamut of all library functions. Besides this, this software is more compatible with RFID Technology, which is a total security transaction module.. As part of the Digital Library Project, which is currently in progress, some of the question papers and theses available in the Library have been digitalized.

Most of the staff members of the library are professionally qualified and have been periodically participating and presenting technical research papers in several National and International Conferences, Seminars and workshops. Presently the library is housing a massive collection of around 79053 volumes of reading material in various branches of Science and Technology. 196 foreign and Indian journals also augment and supplement the strength of document collection.
